Amy has been training dogs for over 20 years. She has trained and competed in nosework, agility, barn hunt, rally, obedience, hunt tests, personal protection, and coursing. In addition to sports, she loves learning more about dog behavior since that is the foundation of everything. Most of her dogs are former rescues, and the dogs decide which activities they want to pursue.
She is also a scentwork judge in AKC, UKC, CPE, and C-WAGS, and a rally judge for WCRL and C-WAGS. She spent many years involved in rescue, fostering many dogs, and was one of the co-founders of a large breed rescue.
Amy lives in Chicago with her “variety pack,” consisting of a Dobe, Belgian Malinois, Vizsla, Manchester Terrier, and Terrier-Chihuahua mix. In addition to teaching classes, Amy coordinates the many trials held each year at For Your K9.
